The Burrum Heads Progress Association commenced in 1975 and at present has 81 members. It was established to foster a community spirit within a (then) small community.

The objects of the Association are to promote and encourage the progress, development, advancement and welfare of the local community and to establish and maintain suitable premises for the convenience of the local community.

The Burrum Heads community is situated at the mouth of the Burrum River on the northern fringes of the Fraser Coast Region. It has a population of approximately 1500 which is greatly increased during holiday times.
